Laura Gfeller Wants You To Learn From Her Mistakes So You Get Injured Less Running
Laura Gfeller is an accomplished triathlete who has represented Canada at the world championship for her age group and an ultra runner, but she also a physiotherapist, which gives her a unique perspective when it comes to the treatment of injuries in athletes.
Before we recorded this conversation, I polled on social media to see what injury you wanted to know more about, and IT band syndrome won. Aside from talking all things IT band syndrome. This is a conversation about creating a life around your passion. Laura truly has centered her life around running and being active.
This past year Laura qualified on two separate occasions to represent Canada once again at the triathlon world championships, but like most things in 2020, those plans had to be put on hold due to the pandemic. Laura took a big pivot in her training and refocused her goals for the year, which led her to run farther than she had ever run before... twice topping out at 102 km.
