Sarah Riley on The Power of The Running Community

This is a conversation about having the courage to take action on your ideas and not being afraid to chase after your dreams. I've know Riley for many years, but I throughly enjoyed having this opportunity to sit down with her and I got to hear a lot about her that I didn't know before.

Big Ideas

Sarah Riley, or just Riley to her friends, is someone who is just bursting with positive vibes when you meet her. She started founding run crews before run crews were even really a thing and has also go on to found two start up companies R&G Strategic and Earthproof Protein. What I find most inspiring about this is the Riley is able to stay true to her values in everything she creates ensuring that the run crews are welcoming to all, but still a little punk and her startups are based around sustainability and helping making the planet a better place.

Not only do we get into the the story of how the North End Runners crew was founded this conversation goes much deeper than that. Riley opens up and shares how a difficult time in her life she opted to leave everything behind. Sometimes having that space allows up to truly understand what it is that is going to make us whole. It allows you the ability to listen to the littlest nudges that life tries to show you so that you can find your path. In this case a daily trip up a mountain was the catalyst that started a love for running.
